Job Overview We are seeking a talented Freelance Designer to join our dynamic team on a project basis. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a keen eye for detail, contributing to innovative design solutions across various construction and civil engineering projects. This role offers flexible working arrangements, allowing you to work remotely while delivering high-quality design outputs. The successful applicant will have experience with industry-standard Auto CAD software and a solid understanding of schematic development within the construction sector.Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop detailed 2D and 3D designs using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, or SolidWorks.</li><li>Create accurate schematics and technical drawings aligned with project specifications and client requirements.</li><li>Utilise SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, and other relevant tools to produce comprehensive models and visualisations.</li><li>Collaborate with project teams to interpret design briefs and translate concepts into practical designs.</li><li>Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices within the construction sector.</li><li>Revise and update drawings based on feedback from clients or project managers to meet evolving project needs.</li><li>Maintain organised digital files of all design documents for easy access and version control.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience in architectural or civil design projects, preferably within the construction industry.</li><li>Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Schematics, Civil 3D, NavisWorks, SketchUp.</li><li>Strong understanding of construction processes and technical drawing standards.</li><li>Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.</li><li>Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and project teams remotely.</li><li>A portfolio demonstrating previous design work across relevant software platforms is highly desirable.
