Position SummaryThe Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, cost control, and compliance activities. In addition, this role will oversee procurement-related financial processes, supplier management support, purchase controls, and cost optimization initiatives within the cleaning services business.The ideal candidate should have strong accounting expertise, experience in service-based industries (preferably cleaning, facilities management, or manpower services), and a solid understanding of procurement and vendor management processes.Key Responsibilities Accounting &amp; Financial Management<ul><li>Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.</li><li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.</li><li>Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance.</li><li>Ensure accurate recording of revenue, expenses, accruals, and provisions.</li><li>Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.</li><li>Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.</li><li>Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.</li><li>Analyze profitability by project, contract, client, and service line.</li><li>Monitor operational costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.</li><li>Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.</li><li>Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.</li></ul>Procurement &amp; Cost Control<ul><li>Review and verify purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier invoices.</li><li>Ensure procurement transactions comply with company approval matrices and budget controls.</li><li>Monitor procurement spending and supplier payment schedules.</li><li>Conduct cost analysis for cleaning materials, chemicals, equipment, uniforms, and consumables.</li><li>Support supplier selection and vendor evaluation processes from a financial perspective.</li><li>Negotiate payment terms and assist in vendor contract reviews.</li><li>Track inventory-related financial transactions and reconcile stock movements.</li><li>Develop procurement reporting dashboards and spending analysis.</li><li>Identify opportunities for procurement savings and process improvements.</li><li>Collaborate with operations teams to optimize purchasing efficiency.</li></ul>Compliance &amp; Internal Controls<ul><li>Establish and maintain strong financial and procurement controls.</li><li>Ensure compliance with VAT and other applicable tax regulations.</li><li>Monitor adherence to procurement policies and financial procedures.</li><li>Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation measures.</li><li>Support implementation and enhancement of ERP/accounting systems.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.</li><li>Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA, or equivalent is preferred.</li><li>Minimum 5&ndash;8 years of accounting experience.</li><li>At least 2&ndash;3 years of experience in procurement accounting, purchasing controls, or vendor management.</li><li>Experience in cleaning services, facilities management, manpower outsourcing, or service industries is highly preferred.</li></ul>Work Location: In person
