<p></p><div><p>Assist faculty in the Nursing and other Allied Health programs; clarify modular content and instructors' assignments; assist students in the use of instructional equipment and autotutorial media; tutor students individually and in groups; oversee students to achieve laboratory learning objectives prepared by the instructors; administer skill and summation examinations; confer with instructors on student progress, class procedures and instructional methods in order to promote clear understanding of expectations; assist faculty with preparation of instructional materials, such as individual learning modules, charts and forms; work collaboratively with faculty to prepare patient charts and related documents; coordinate set up of simulators for scenarios, and assist faculty with computer portion; assure supplies are stocked and available for scheduled scenario use; oversee inventory management, related maintenance records, and other files related to the operation of the simulation lab; maintain records and files of instructional materials and equipment; coordinate troubleshooting for simulators, air compressor, gasses; complete work order requests; create and keep up to date policies relating to the use of the lab; manage print requests; oversee appointment bookings for simulation lab and computer lab usage; manage teaching resources for instructor check-out; oversee students and track timing and attendance for educational endeavors including: viewing videos and online materials, reviewing other educational materials, prepping for an upcoming scenario; act as a lead for temporary employees; perform related duties as required.</p></div><p></p>

<p></p><div><div><b>EXPERIENCE: </b>One year of tutoring, instructional, or work experience in a simulation lab setting or similar experience.</div><div><b><br>
EDUCATION: </b>Completion of an Associate's Degree from an accredited institution in nursing, allied health, or a related discipline; or 60 semester units (90 quarter units) with 15 semester units in the discipline area. NOTE: One additional year of qualifying experience may be substituted for the one year of the education requirement.<div>

<div><p>Receive calls/tickets from Los Rios campuses through a district wide work order tracking system for emergency or maintenance repairs and refers to appropriate personnel by dispatching employees after determining level of need; distribute work orders to appropriate supervisors and maintenance personnel; check or compute and records labor and material costs on work orders; and enter work order data, inventories, schedules, and cost information in a computer for tracking purposes; order maintenance and operational supplies; compute, record, and proofread data and information, such as records or reports; copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions, etc.; greet and direct people at front desk, answer telephone, respond to requests and delivers messages; and answer inquiries requiring knowledge of department services and procedures; develop district-wide mail carrier schedule; type letters, memoranda and other correspondence as required; operate office machines, such as computers, copier, fax, and shredder; use a variety of computer office software district wide programs to perform the required tasks including databases, spreadsheets and email; help new employees complete online training; compute estimates from vendors and communicates with supervisors, leads, and campus operations to receive/enter budget strings on campus funded work orders; responsible for general upkeep of district wide tracking system for repairs, including providing budget strings, issuing tickets, communicating with campus, clean up open tickets, and closing out work orders; have open communications with all Los Rios Campus Operations and Police Dispatch offices; prepare employee time sheets and absence reports checking for accuracy and fund encumbrance before submitting to Payroll and Benefits departments; prepare overtime, compensatory time off (CTO), temporary employee, and shift differential forms and time sheets; work with and have open communication with District Office Payroll and Benefits departments; communicate projects between the Planners and Maintenance Supervisors through entering project work orders and receiving plan review comments; receive and track/input employee trainings and seminars; responsible for the Facilities Management on-line calendar, reporting employee time off; issue gas cards to employees and track monthly fuel usage for District Office Accounts Payable department. <div><p>Serves as the primary administrative support person for the executive manager with responsibility for more than one educational and/or administrative area, by performing complex and varied secretarial, clerical, and support duties. Extensive knowledge of district and college policies, practices and regulations is needed in addition to knowledge of the Public Records Act and Brown Act Compliance. In addition to responsibilities included in preceding levels, serves as a liaison between the executive manager and division leaders on matters of significance such as board agenda items; provides support to community based and district wide committee planning (coordination/agendas) and minutes preparation; responds to requests and assists in resolving problems or referring matters to the appropriate party under limited direction and while using tact, diplomacy and judgment. There may be lead responsibility for support, temporary and student employees.<br>

<p></p><div><p>Serves as the primary administrative support for the executive manager with responsibility for more than one educational and/or administrative area. Functions as a resource regarding policies, procedures, budgets, contracts and related matters utilizing independent judgment, knowledge, and interpretation capabilities; maintain district policies and regulations, coordinating any revision thereof, assuring proper board approval, and distributing final copies; may be required to become a notary public; at the General Counsel office, format, finalize and file pleadings, proofs of service, and legal documents in conjunction with litigation and administrative hearings. maintain complex filing systems and provide retrieval /research functions when necessary; provide public relations to support interdepartmental and community college wide functions and meetings; independently formulate responses to routine letters and prepares reports, budgets, presentations and related matters from rough notes; coordinates meetings, prepares agendas, and takes minutes for committees, including community based committees falling under the Public Records Act and Brown Act Compliance, exercising judgment in editing and composition; make travel arrangements and schedule appointments, meetings, and speaking engagements, utilizing time management techniques; maintain confidential files; attend to administrative detail on special matters assigned by the administrator such as board agenda items, compliance matters and board reports; may take the lead for support, temporary and student employees; perform related duties as assigned to assure the calendar, projects and events of the executive manager and their staff are performed in a timely and appropriate fashion.</p></div><p></p>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><div><b>EXPERIENCE: </b>Four years of experience related to the duties of the position.</div><div><b><br>
EDUCATION: </b>Completion of an Associate's degree in business, office administration or related discipline <b>OR</b> a Bachelor's degree or higher in any subject area.</div><div><i><br>
Promotional</i>: Three years of experience with Los Rios CCD performing Administrative Assistant or Confidential Administrative Assistant duties. (Promotional applies to regular, current Classified employees working with the Los Rios Community College District.)<div>
