<p></p><div><p>Tracks and manages computer assets; serves as a technical consultant to faculty, staff, and students; and assists faculty, staff, and students with hardware, software, and/or operational problem reporting. Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs hardware and software problems to provide continued operation. Assists students with appropriate procedures; aids instructors by assisting students with basic concept understanding and skill acquisition; and consults with faculty and staff regarding desktop hardware, software, and lab design and operation. Installs and supports hardware and software in the environment of a lab or other designated area; maintains system operation in the lab; and works with IT Specialists to maintain college and lab systems integrity. Performs related duties as required.</p><div>
Acts as a focal point for requests, problems and issues affecting the unit. Leads and participates in projects of considerable scope including administration of instructional servers for multiple area departments, and maintenance of databases. Provides technical architectural and modification guidelines. Provides support for local network administration including workstations, maintaining directory structures, installing, configuring and maintaining print, file, and local web servers. Assigns system resources, assigns and monitors staff assignments, and special projects. Assists students with appropriate procedures, and aids instructors by assisting students with basic concept understanding and skill acquisition. Participates in the development of procedures, policies, and guidelines for the operation of the unit. Leads and participates in the planning of migrations to new or improved hardware and software products. Provides leadership, direction, and training to Information Technology Technicians and other staff by teaching them new and easier ways of using software applications. Assigns system resources by setting permissions and creating accounts for faculty, staff, and students. Prepares computer use reports. Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs hardware and peripherals and works with vendors to keep workstations functioning. Reviews applications; interviews, and hires student help as needed; and reviews their timesheets. Monitors budgets; forecasts employment costs for student assistants; and requisitions supplies within budget allocations as required. Completes return merchandise authorization forms for vendors as appropriate. Performs related duties as required.</div></div><br>

<p></p><div><div><b>EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: </b>An Associate degree in computer sciences or closely related field (or completion of an equivalent certificate program) and two years in class of Information Technology Technician II; <b>OR</b>, an Associate degree in computer science or closely related field (or completion of an equivalent certificate program) and four years of experience directly related to job duties; <b>OR</b>, a combination of training and/or experience totaling six years that is likely to have provided the required level of knowledge and abilities.<div>

<p></p><div><p>Assist faculty in the Nursing and other Allied Health programs; clarify modular content and instructors' assignments; assist students in the use of instructional equipment and autotutorial media; tutor students individually and in groups; oversee students to achieve laboratory learning objectives prepared by the instructors; administer skill and summation examinations; confer with instructors on student progress, class procedures and instructional methods in order to promote clear understanding of expectations; assist faculty with preparation of instructional materials, such as individual learning modules, charts and forms; work collaboratively with faculty to prepare patient charts and related documents; coordinate set up of simulators for scenarios, and assist faculty with computer portion; assure supplies are stocked and available for scheduled scenario use; oversee inventory management, related maintenance records, and other files related to the operation of the simulation lab; maintain records and files of instructional materials and equipment; coordinate troubleshooting for simulators, air compressor, gasses; complete work order requests; create and keep up to date policies relating to the use of the lab; manage print requests; oversee appointment bookings for simulation lab and computer lab usage; manage teaching resources for instructor check-out; oversee students and track timing and attendance for educational endeavors including: viewing videos and online materials, reviewing other educational materials, prepping for an upcoming scenario; act as a lead for temporary employees; perform related duties as required.</p></div><p></p>

<div><p>Under the direction of the assigned administrator, the Information Technology (IT) Technical Services Supervisor (District Office) is a working supervisor charged with the responsibility to plan, organize, supervise and participate in the activities of the District IT Technical Services Team within Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Server/Platform Engineering, Cloud Services, Unified Communications, and Physical (Layer 1); ensure timely and accurate problem solving, system testing, and change management; maintain user relations; assure compliance with District policies and principles of good IT practices; prepare internal and external documents and activity reports.<br>

<div><p>Receive calls/tickets from Los Rios campuses through a district wide work order tracking system for emergency or maintenance repairs and refers to appropriate personnel by dispatching employees after determining level of need; distribute work orders to appropriate supervisors and maintenance personnel; check or compute and records labor and material costs on work orders; and enter work order data, inventories, schedules, and cost information in a computer for tracking purposes; order maintenance and operational supplies; compute, record, and proofread data and information, such as records or reports; copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions, etc.; greet and direct people at front desk, answer telephone, respond to requests and delivers messages; and answer inquiries requiring knowledge of department services and procedures; develop district-wide mail carrier schedule; type letters, memoranda and other correspondence as required; operate office machines, such as computers, copier, fax, and shredder; use a variety of computer office software district wide programs to perform the required tasks including databases, spreadsheets and email; help new employees complete online training; compute estimates from vendors and communicates with supervisors, leads, and campus operations to receive/enter budget strings on campus funded work orders; responsible for general upkeep of district wide tracking system for repairs, including providing budget strings, issuing tickets, communicating with campus, clean up open tickets, and closing out work orders; have open communications with all Los Rios Campus Operations and Police Dispatch offices; prepare employee time sheets and absence reports checking for accuracy and fund encumbrance before submitting to Payroll and Benefits departments; prepare overtime, compensatory time off (CTO), temporary employee, and shift differential forms and time sheets; work with and have open communication with District Office Payroll and Benefits departments; communicate projects between the Planners and Maintenance Supervisors through entering project work orders and receiving plan review comments; receive and track/input employee trainings and seminars; responsible for the Facilities Management on-line calendar, reporting employee time off; issue gas cards to employees and track monthly fuel usage for District Office Accounts Payable department.
