<div><p>Under the direction of the assigned administrator, the Information Technology (IT) Technical Services Supervisor (District Office) is a working supervisor charged with the responsibility to plan, organize, supervise and participate in the activities of the District IT Technical Services Team within Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Server/Platform Engineering, Cloud Services, Unified Communications, and Physical (Layer 1); ensure timely and accurate problem solving, system testing, and change management; maintain user relations; assure compliance with District policies and principles of good IT practices; prepare internal and external documents and activity reports.<br>

The department maintains a focus on:</p><ul><li>
Enterprise WAN/LAN, wireless, and structured cabling systems to maintain reliable connectivity</li><li>
Firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, and identity management systems to safeguard the computing environment</li><li>
Physical, virtual, and cloud-based infrastructure with emphasis on availability, performance, and cost efficiency</li><li>
Enterprise voice, video, and collaboration platforms</li><li>
Vendor contracts, licensing, and service agreements in accordance with District policies</li><li>
Compliance with established standards and frameworks (e.g., ITIL, NIST, CIS)</li><li>
Resilient operations across data centers, campus infrastructure, and cloud environments</li><li>
Continuous operational support, including monitoring, incident response, problem resolution, and change management</li><li>

<p></p><div><p>Plan, supervise and participate in the implementation and maintenance of physical and virtual network, server and storage environments, wired and wireless environments, telephony, multi campus network, Cybersecurity and application software, database systems, web and application servers, and client computing environments; assure compliance with District policies and IT Department procedures; ensure system and data security, implement support procedures, including maintaining inventory and ensuring operational performance of District Hybrid (on prem and multi-cloud) technology infrastructure and equipment, smart classrooms and meeting rooms; monitor and supervise version upgrades and enhancements of network/desktop operating systems and application software; recommend changes in procedures as appropriate; respond to verbal, written, and electronic inquiries from clients regarding status of work requests, backlog, and issues; supervise, train, and evaluate assigned employees; establish team goals according to guidelines; provide technical expertise to employees and other IT Department employees; resolve issues and coordinate activities; participate in interviewing and selecting new employees; coordinate departments&rsquo; operations with faculty and participating agencies/colleges and make basic arrangements such as program format and adherence to timelines established for projects; confer with College and District Office Departments to coordinate efforts and enhance network systems and capabilities; maintain budgetary expenditures for departments&rsquo; operations, equipment, supplies and materials; operate office equipment such as computers; perform other related duties as assigned.</p></div><p></p>

<p></p><div><div><b>EXPERIENCE: </b>Two years of experience in a lead or supervisory position in any field. Four years of experience in computer/network system analysis, design, programming, testing, implementation and user relations (the required lead/supervisory experience may also be used towards meeting this requirement, if in the required fields).</div><div><b><br>
EDUCATION: </b>Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Business, or a related field.<div>

<div><p>Receive calls/tickets from Los Rios campuses through a district wide work order tracking system for emergency or maintenance repairs and refers to appropriate personnel by dispatching employees after determining level of need; distribute work orders to appropriate supervisors and maintenance personnel; check or compute and records labor and material costs on work orders; and enter work order data, inventories, schedules, and cost information in a computer for tracking purposes; order maintenance and operational supplies; compute, record, and proofread data and information, such as records or reports; copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions, etc.; greet and direct people at front desk, answer telephone, respond to requests and delivers messages; and answer inquiries requiring knowledge of department services and procedures; develop district-wide mail carrier schedule; type letters, memoranda and other correspondence as required; operate office machines, such as computers, copier, fax, and shredder; use a variety of computer office software district wide programs to perform the required tasks including databases, spreadsheets and email; help new employees complete online training; compute estimates from vendors and communicates with supervisors, leads, and campus operations to receive/enter budget strings on campus funded work orders; responsible for general upkeep of district wide tracking system for repairs, including providing budget strings, issuing tickets, communicating with campus, clean up open tickets, and closing out work orders; have open communications with all Los Rios Campus Operations and Police Dispatch offices; prepare employee time sheets and absence reports checking for accuracy and fund encumbrance before submitting to Payroll and Benefits departments; prepare overtime, compensatory time off (CTO), temporary employee, and shift differential forms and time sheets; work with and have open communication with District Office Payroll and Benefits departments; communicate projects between the Planners and Maintenance Supervisors through entering project work orders and receiving plan review comments; receive and track/input employee trainings and seminars; responsible for the Facilities Management on-line calendar, reporting employee time off; issue gas cards to employees and track monthly fuel usage for District Office Accounts Payable department. Perform related duties as assigned.</p></div>
