Garfield, Midland, TX Job Summary- The Director-Digital Engagement is responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing Midland College&rsquo;s web presence to ensure an engaging, user-friendly, and branded online experience. This role combines content management, digital marketing, and data analysis to strengthen the College&rsquo;s visibility, drive engagement, and support student recruitment and retention goals. Required Qualifications <ul><li>Associate degree and at least two (2) years of experience in web content creation, digital communications, or website management</li><li>Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail</li><li>Experience with content management systems, web analytics, and SEO</li><li>Must possess a valid Texas Driver&rsquo;s License, good driving record, and be insurable on Midland College&rsquo;s insurance policy</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications <ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, Web Design, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered</li></ul>Essential Functions- Web Content &amp; Branding <ul><li>Write, edit, and maintain webpages that are accurate, persuasive, and aligned with institutional branding, messaging, and accessibility standards</li><li>Ensure all web content supports enrollment marketing campaigns, student success initiatives, and community engagement</li><li>Develop compelling landing pages and digital storytelling content that highlight programs, events, and campus life</li><li>Manage interactive digital tools, including the implementation of website chatbot</li><li>Ensure interactive map content is accurate and up-to-date, highlighting campus locations, resources, and events</li></ul>Digital Marketing &amp; Campaigns <ul><li>Partner with the Marketing &amp; PR team to create, launch, and maintain digital campaigns that support recruitment, retention, and brand awareness</li><li>Use SEO, metadata, and keyword strategies to increase organic visibility and search rankings for programs and initiatives</li><li>Track and evaluate campaign landing page performance; translate results into actionable recommendations to improve conversions and ROI</li><li>Ensure website content is integrated with social media, email campaigns, and other digital platforms for cohesive multi-channel marketing</li></ul>Analytics &amp; Strategy <ul><li>Monitor website performance, user behavior, and campaign engagement through analytics tools</li><li>Produce dashboards and reports for stakeholders, highlighting web traffic, conversions, and user trends</li><li>Recommend and implement strategies to improve website navigation, engagement, accessibility, and search engine optimization</li><li>Lead testing and implementation of new web technologies, interactive features and digital tools that improve student and community engagement</li></ul>Collaboration &amp; Support <ul><li>Serve as a campus-wide resource, partnering with faculty and staff to develop effective, student-focused content</li><li>Manage ticket requests for website updates and ensure timely, high-quality completion</li><li>Assist with writing and editing for marketing materials, email campaigns, and event promotions</li><li>Participate in committees related to digital marketing, web strategy, and emerging technologies</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>Physical Demands <ul><li>The person in this position needs to occasionally move or drive to other locations on and off campus</li><li>Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation</li><li>The person in this position needs to move to other locations on campus occasionally</li><li>The person in this position frequently communicates with others verbally and electronically; must be able to exchange accurate information</li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus</li><li>Occasionally moves boxes or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds</li><li>Office environment</li><li>Ability to work extended hours and attend Midland College or community events</li><li>This position may require occasional travel for training, meetings, and events both in and out of town</li></ul>Security Sensitivity- All Midland College positions are security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code &sect;51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information.
