<p><b>JOB DESCRIPTION: PART-TIME ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT</b></p><br>
<p></p>
<p><b>
Qualifications:</b></p>
<ul><li>High school diploma, GED, or sufficient education, training, and experience to perform the duties of the position
</li><li>Some experience (2-3 years) in general secretarial work (graduation from business school or similar academic course may be substituted for one year of experience)
</li><li>Some experience and/or training in automated management information systems is required
</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
</li><li>Some experience in dealing effectively with the public is highly desirable
</li><li>Some other qualifications as may be desirable and appropriate</li></ul>
<p><b>
Essential Duties:</b></p>
<ul><li>Serve as point of contact for visitors and callers to the school
</li><li>Screen and determine the nature of calls or visits
</li><li>Type with speed and accuracy a variety of routine and complex documents, reports, forms, and correspondence
</li><li>Use of school software system and financial procedures to maintain ledgers and other financial documents, recording receipt and expenditure of school funds
</li><li>Assist school officials with various administrative and student-related activities such as registration, calling absentees, preparing reports, contacting parents, checking out students, etc.
</li><li>Operate various types of office equipment such as copiers, computer terminals, fax, etc.</li></ul>

JOB DESCRIPTION: LIBRARIAN/ MEDIA SPECIALIST</b></p><br>

<p><b>
Qualifications:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Current Alabama Teacher's Certification, Bachelor's Degree or higher with an endorsement in library media</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Essential Duties</b>:</p>
<ul>
<li>Create a library program and classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth</li>
<li>Teaches information library skills, including how to access, evaluate, and use information from a variety of sources; provides reading guidance to students, assisting them in finding appropriate material to meet their individual and ability level; provides a full range of library services including instruction, research support, reference, reading promotion, library website content, instructional technology, evaluation, and use of learning resources to meet curricular and personal interests.</li>
<li>Prepares, manages, and monitors the library budget in accordance with district and school guidelines. Maximizes efficient use of available funds and provides faculty and students with their best possible materials; requires the preparation and administration of a library budget.</li>
<li>Promotes reading and the use of information resources, through such activities as storytelling, book talks, displays, publications, research projects, and special events. Develops curricular content that integrates information literacy skills into instructional activities. Promotes reading as a lifelong skill</li>
<li>Establish a positive relationship with students, parents, co-workers, volunteers, and other visitors</li>
<li>Processes and manages, catalogs, circulates, sorts, shelves, and inventories library materials, textbooks, and digital devices essential to instruction and student learning.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as designated by the Principal or the District Media Supervisor
