Job Summary: Newton Learning Center is looking for a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our growing educational team. In this vital role, you'll help create a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the social, emotional, and cognitive development of our youngest learners. We're seeking someone who brings patience, creativity, and a deep commitment to early childhood education&mdash;someone who sees the magic in helping toddlers explore, grow, and thrive.Key Responsibilities:Create a Safe and Nurturing Environment<ul><li>Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and free of hazards.</li><li>Provide emotional support and a comforting presence for toddlers to feel secure and valued.</li></ul>Plan and Implement Developmental Activities<ul><li>Design and deliver age-appropriate, play-based lesson plans focused on cognitive, physical, and emotional development.</li><li>Use fun, interactive methods to promote curiosity and creativity in young learners.</li></ul>Monitor and Assess Development<ul><li>Observe toddlers regularly to track developmental milestones and behaviors.</li><li>Use informal assessments to identify growth areas and adapt instruction to meet individual needs.</li></ul>Encourage Social and Emotional Growth<ul><li>Support social skill-building through group activities and guided play.</li><li>Help children express their emotions in healthy, constructive ways.</li></ul>Engage Families and Foster Communication<ul><li>Provide regular updates to parents on their child&rsquo;s progress and daily experiences.</li><li>Conduct parent-teacher conferences to discuss milestones, achievements, or concerns.</li></ul>Collaborate and Grow Professionally<ul><li>Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in early childhood education.</li><li>Work closely with fellow educators to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment.</li></ul>Manage the Classroom Environment<ul><li>Establish and maintain a predictable, balanced routine that supports learning and comfort.</li><li>Use positive guidance techniques to encourage appropriate behavior and resolve conflicts constructively.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience:<ul><li>Previous experience working with toddlers in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with children, families, and colleagues.</li><li>A creative, playful approach to teaching with the ability to adapt to diverse learning needs.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From $20.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Professional development assistance</li><li>Retirement plan</li></ul>Work Location: In person
