Location: Apollo Hospital, Teynampet, Chennai Experience: 1-2 Years Employment Type: Full-TimeAbout the Role We are seeking an experienced and proactive Biomedical Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize medical equipment and healthcare technology at Apollo Hospital, Teynampet, Chennai. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in biomedical equipment maintenance, calibration, safety compliance, and vendor management, along with strong leadership to guide junior engineers and technicians.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Oversee the installation, calibration, preventive and corrective maintenance of biomedical equipment and systems.</li><li>Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards, NABH/JCI accreditation requirements, and biomedical engineering best practices.</li><li>Maintain inventory of medical equipment, spare parts, and consumables, ensuring minimal downtime.</li><li>Troubleshoot complex equipment issues and coordinate with OEMs/vendors for advanced repairs.</li><li>Support clinical teams by providing training on proper equipment usage and safety protocols.</li><li>Prepare technical reports, equipment history records, and service documentation.</li><li>Drive cost optimization by negotiating service contracts and managing AMC/CMC.</li><li>Monitor new technology trends and recommend equipment upgrades or replacements.</li><li>Lead a small team of biomedical technicians, ensuring timely resolution of equipment-related issues.</li><li>Coordinate with procurement and finance teams for equipment acquisition and budgeting.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Skills<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Biomedical Engineering (Master&rsquo;s preferred).</li><li>1-2 years of relevant hospital/healthcare experience in biomedical engineering.</li><li>Strong knowledge of medical equipment such as ventilators, dialysis machines, anesthesia workstations, imaging systems, and patient monitoring devices.</li><li>Familiarity with NABH/JCI standards, biomedical safety norms, and regulatory guidelines.</li><li>Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and vendor negotiation skills.</li><li>Strong communication and leadership abilities to interact with clinicians, technicians, and management.</li><li>Proficiency in equipment management software and MS Office tools.</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Opportunity to work with state-of-the-art medical equipment in a reputed hospital network.</li><li>Competitive salary and benefits package.</li><li>Career growth and continuous learning opportunities.</li><li>Collaborative work environment with a focus on patient care and technology advancement.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: &#8377;25,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>ISO documentation</li><li>Biomedical Experience</li><li>What is your expected CTC?</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>total work: 5 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
