Duties

• Supervise groups of children during daily camp activities, ensuring safety and active participation
• Lead engaging recreational activities such as sports, arts and crafts, theater performances, and outdoor games
• Manage behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies
• Provide first aid when necessary, following proper protocols to address minor injuries or health concerns
• Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance through tailored guidance and accommodations
• Collaborate with fellow counselors to plan and execute age-appropriate educational programs aligned with childhood development principles
• Foster a welcoming environment rooted in respect, kindness, and Christian counseling values when applicable

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, babysitting, tutoring, or camp environments is highly desirable
• Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to maintain a positive group dynamic
• Background in early childhood education or childhood development enhances your ability to support young learners effectively
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred to ensure safety during all activities
• Experience in sports coaching, theater arts, or working with students can add valuable skills to your role
• Demonstrated ability to manage diverse groups of children with patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism
