Job description:
I. Job Summary
Responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the activities of production with respect to personnel, safety, and quality. Coordinates with the other departments in the business unit for the purpose of producing products in line with plans, schedules, and standards of total customer satisfaction.
II. Essential Job Functions

Responsible for directing the work activities of employees on scheduled shift.

Must be able to handle a flexible schedule.

Ensure department operates effectively.

Perform all employee related duties.

Work to build and enhance a team approach in addressing and accomplishing departmental goals.

Ensure the complete safety of the department, including those individuals working in and around the area (i.e. visitors, contractors)

Responsible for achieving standards of quality for every order processed through the department and to strive for continuous improvement and sustained levels of excellence for the internal as well as external customers.

Monitor production for the purpose of achieving and maintaining the lowest possible scrap rates.

Work to ensure cleanliness of department areas for the purpose of establishing an atmosphere of pride and accomplishment with respect to employment at Park Aerospace Corp.

IV. Education/Experience/Skills Required
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
3+ years' experience in Composite Manufacturing environment is preferred.

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well.

Must be able to follow written instructions (English) and possess good basic math skills.

Accurate computer entry skills.
-
Effective interpersonal skills.
-
Strong Organizational ability.

Valid Driver's License.
V. Physical Requirements
-
Job requires lifting of products/supplies ranging from minimal to 50 pounds on occasional basis, and may periodically require it throughout a production shift.
-
Individual will be required to be mobile, with bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and crouching.

Must be able to wear a respirator and other safety equipment as required.
