25/26: Special Education Teacher (Special Class) – 1.0 FTE Anticipated Probationary (UVMS/District)

Arlington Central School District is seeking a passionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our collaborative team at Union Vale Middle School and Districtwide. As a Special Class Teacher, you will:

• Design and implement engaging instruction tailored to students with autism, communication disorders, and learning differences.
• Apply evidence-based practices, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and VB-MAPP assessments.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of educators, therapists, and families to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Use data to drive instruction and monitor progress, ensuring every student grows academically, socially, and emotionally.

What We’re Looking For

• NYS Certification: Special Education or Students With Disabilities – All Grades or Students with Disabilities 1-6 and 7-12 combined
• Experience: Working with students with autism, communication and feeding challenges
• Skills: Strong communication, classroom management and data-driven instruction
• Qualities: Empathetic, creative, and adaptable educator who thrives in a team setting
