SUMMARY:
The Campus Facility Supervisor ensures that all buildings and grounds are safe, operational, and clean for students and staff by organizing, monitoring, and supervising facility maintenance operations. Provide supervision and direction to Facilities Maintenance staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Monitors and supervises of the work, production, and services necessary to maintain campus buildings, grounds, equipment, inventory, material, and supplies.
- Performs general skilled maintenance tasks and repairs on campus buildings, grounds, and equipment. Checks and monitors heating and cooling systems and units to ensure they are working properly; contacts HVAC mechanics or outside contracts as required. Manage and monitor HVACR EMS (Energy Management System) pertaining to scheduling District approved comfort set points.
- Coordinates and provides scheduled preventive maintenance work on campus facilities and grounds. Utilizes and facilitates effective utilization of the District Automated Work Order System (School Dude) to include prioritization, monitoring, and verification of work in progress and work completed.
- Leads all campus maintenance projects; prepares reports regarding school plant conditions and future needs.
- Evaluates, manages, and supervises the maintenance and grounds personnel assigned to the campus. Facilitates and authorizes overtime.
- Inspects buildings, grounds, and equipment for maintenance, cleanliness, safety of facilities, and fire safety; reviews work; initiates work orders and recommendations for corrective action as required.
- Plans, schedules, coordinates, and assign work schedules and services; plans and manages budget requirements for custodial and grounds supplies and equipment, repairs, and remodeling.
- Initiates proposals and supervises work involved in the relocation of equipment, and facilities within the responsible area.
- Organizes and conducts in-service and training activities for campus maintenance staff. Participates in interview committees for maintenance and grounds positions and provides new hire recommendations.
- Supports the relationship between the Phoenix Union High School District and the public by demonstrating courteous and professional behavior when interacting with students, parents, visitors, and school staff; maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, client records, and school information; follows Governing Board Policies; performs all other related duties as required or assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training, and Experience Guidelines:
High School diploma or GED equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred; AND four years of facilities maintenance experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Completion of HVACR training program or HVACR prior experience; AND two years supervisory experience.
License and Certification Requirements:
A valid Arizona State Driver’s License is required.
Must possess an active Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or obtain one within the first 90 workdays of employment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed throughout campuses and District facilities, both indoors and outdoors. Work required exposure to hot and cold temperatures, potentially dangerous tools and equipment, and hazardous chemicals. Physical ability to perform all of the essential
functions (e.g. stand, turn, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, lift, push, pull, and, work at heights, climb ladders). May be required to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
