2D Draftsman

Job Summary:
A 2D Draftsman prepares accurate technical drawings, layouts, and plans using CAD software based on engineering, architectural, or design specifications. The role supports project teams by producing and updating drawings for construction, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and revise 2D technical drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).
• Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and layouts as required.
• Interpret sketches, specifications, and design documents.
• Ensure drawings comply with project standards, codes, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, designers, and project teams.
• Maintain drawing registers and document control procedures.
• Incorporate design changes and update drawings accordingly.
• Perform quantity take-offs and basic drafting calculations when required.
• Archive and organize project documentation.

Requirements

• Diploma or certificate in Drafting, Civil, Mechanical, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.
• Good understanding of technical drawing standards and symbols.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering or architectural drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–5 years of drafting experience (depending on role level).
• Experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or architectural projects.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling software is an advantage.
