2nd Grade ELA & Math Tutor - Part Time, in Person in Apopka

About the student

• 2nd grade student
• The student needs to work with a tutor for support with reading and math.
• The student is in the 2nd grade at Apopka Elementary School. The student is on the Autism Spectrum. The student is also below grade level in both ELA and math. He has a limited verbal vocabulary. He can read, but the family is seeking assistance with reading comprehension as well as math.
• The family is asking for a credentialed teacher as the tutoring is being sponsored by an agency that has the requirement the tutor be a credentialed teacher.
• The goal is for the student to be at grade level in all subjects.
• Family wants 1 hour sessions 2 times a week, between 5pm-7pm, on either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
• Family is seeking a tutor who can meet at their home in in Apopka next to Marshall Lake.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates have prior experience working with elementary students.
• Ideal candidates will have prior experience teaching/tutoring elementary ELA & math skills.
• Ideal candidates will be a credentialed teacher.
• Willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles)
• Due to insurance requirements, applicants must not be a minor.

Student Availability

TUE & WED & THUR: 5:00pm-7:00pm

Pay & Benefits

• $26.00-$32.00 per hour
