DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Game Lands Maintenance Worker 1, you will perform semi-skilled duties and assist with various tasks such as the maintenance, repair, and construction of bridges, roads, parking areas, gates, posting signs, ranges, and more. This position assists with equipment maintenance, signage, and surveying new game land tracts. You will also assist with a multitude of habitat management tasks and complete mowing duties to include border cuts and access trail maintenance for outdoor recreationalists. You will have the opportunity to safely utilize a wide range of tools and equipment.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 3 year limited term, 40 hours per week
Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
Alternate Work Schedule may apply
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of laboring experience using construction tools and equipment; or
One year of farming experience using agricultural tools and equipment; or
One year of construction equipment operation experience; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
This position requires the selected candidate to obtain an active Class A Commercial Driver’s License within one year of employment in this job.

Additional Requirement:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
