Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a 5 Axis Mazak CNC Machine Operator and become a vital part of precision machining excellence! In this role, you will operate advanced 5-axis CNC milling machines, specifically Mazak equipment, to produce complex, high-precision parts. Your expertise will ensure that each component meets strict quality standards while adhering to safety protocols. Duties

  • Set up and operate 5-axis Mazak CNC milling machines, ensuring optimal performance and precision.
  • Interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM programs to produce complex parts with accuracy.
  • Program CNC machines using CNC programming languages and CAM software such as SolidWorks and other CAD tools.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment, including Fanuc controls and electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes.
  • Follow safety guidelines diligently, utilizing hand tools, power tools, tooling, and welding equipment responsibly.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, inspections, and any adjustments made during production runs.

Skills

  • Proven experience operating 5-axis Mazak CNC milling machines with familiarity in CNC programming and CAM software.
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and mechanical drawings.
  • Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, CAD design software, and CNC lathe operations is highly desirable.
  • Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Experience with tooling setup, assembly processes, welding techniques, forklift operation, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Join us to elevate your career in manufacturing! Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
