Laser Operator

  • Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines (e.g., fiber or CO₂ lasers) to cut sheet metal components.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
  • Load and unload raw materials (sheet metal) onto the laser bed.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure specifications are met.
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of laser equipment.
  • Adjust machine settings such as speed, power, and focus to optimize cutting performance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to meet production goals.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment preferred.
  • Experience in metal fabrication, especially with cabinets or rack systems, is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with CNC controls/software.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
