Laser Operator
- Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines (e.g., fiber or CO₂ lasers) to cut sheet metal components.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Load and unload raw materials (sheet metal) onto the laser bed.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure specifications are met.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of laser equipment.
- Adjust machine settings such as speed, power, and focus to optimize cutting performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to meet production goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment preferred.
- Experience in metal fabrication, especially with cabinets or rack systems, is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with CNC controls/software.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
