About the student

  • 6th & 8th grade student
  • The students needs to work with a tutor for general support in their studies, focused on math/reading and developing better study/organizational habits.
  • The family is asking for a tutor who has experience working with students with ADHD.
  • The students include the sister in 6th grade attending Canyon View Elementary who needs to work with the tutor for reading and math as well as her brother in 8th grade attending Butler Middle School. He has ADHD and needs to work with the tutor for general studies support and developing better study skills and organizational habits. Both students are struggling with their course concepts.
  • The goal is for both students to get a better understanding of the concepts, as well as getting caught up on work from their classes and to ultimately pass their classes.
  • The family is asking for 2 hour sessions 2 times a week, between 4pm-7pm, on either Monday, Thursday, or Friday.
  • The family is seeking a tutor who can meet at the student's home in Cottonwood Heights not far from Memorial Mountain View Cemetery.

Qualifications

  • Ideal candidates have prior experience working with upper elementary and/or middle school students.
  • Ideal candidates will have prior experience tutoring or teaching math and English.
  • Ideal candidates will have experience working with students with ADHD.
  • Willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles)
  • Due to insurance requirements, applicants must not be a minor.

Student Availability

MON & THUR & FRI: 4:00pm-7:00pm

Pay & Benefits

  • $26.00-$30.00 per hour
