Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and conflict management skills.
• Gather essential information from callers through effective phone triage, including details about medical emergencies, accidents, or criminal activity.
• Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and GPS technology to accurately locate incidents and direct first responders efficiently.
• Dispatch law enforcement, fire, medical personnel, or other emergency services based on assessed needs, ensuring rapid response times.
• Maintain detailed data entry and transcription records of all calls, incidents, and dispatch activities with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Provide calm negotiation and reassurance to distressed callers while analyzing the situation to determine appropriate actions.
• Apply medical terminology knowledge and first aid protocols when necessary to guide callers through basic life-saving procedures until help arrives.
