As a 988 Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will

  • Provide clinical guidance, consultation, and debriefing to Crisis Specialists during active 988 contacts
  • Support responses across phone, chat, and text platforms
  • Partner with clinicians and supervisors on high-acuity and complex situations
  • Review and complete documentation to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance
  • Contribute to onboarding, coaching, and skill-building for new team members
  • Assist with queue coverage to help reduce wait times when needed
  • Participate in trainings, meetings, and continuous quality improvement efforts

This role blends clinical insight, teamwork, and real-time problem solving—all in service of saving and improving lives.

Requirements:

We’re excited to meet candidates who bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or a related field
  • Knowledge of the King County public mental health system (preferred)
  • Confidence working in a high-acuity, fast-moving environment
  • Strong communication skills and comfort navigating multiple technology platforms
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to compassionate care
  • Ability to obtain Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) credential within 6 months (cost reimbursed)
