Hey Pet Lovers! (Students/retirees/WFH.) We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker, Pet Nanny and Overnight Nanny to join our team. 20 minute to Overnight opportunities available. Floater/Swing and recurring slots available.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs and cats while ensuring their safety and well-being. As a Dog Walker, you will play a vital role in the daily lives of our furry clients, helping them stay active and happy. This position requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, love and care. Duties

• Walk dogs in various weather conditions while ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Provide basic training commands during walks to reinforce good behavior.
• Ensure that all dogs are properly leashed and restrained during walks.
• Monitor the health and behavior of dogs during walks, reporting any concerns to your supervisor.
• Maintain a positive relationship with pet owners through progress report cards.
• Clean up after dogs during walks to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
• Assist in pet sitting, boarding or in-home Overnight duties as needed, providing care when owners are away.
• Monitor records of each dog's walking schedule and follow any special instructions from owners.
• Ability to travel to individual pet homes to provide services.

Requirements

• Proven experience in dog handling, training, or pet care is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques.
• Conversational customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners.
• Familiarity with animal restraint techniques is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple dogs safely during walks.
• Physical stamina to walk long distances and handle energetic dogs. Runners encouraged to apply.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being.
• Previous experience in veterinary settings or as a kennel assistant is advantageous but not required.
• Working knowledge of Time to Pet or other pet sitting apps or software a plus.
• Are punctual and responsive.
• Have reliable transportation and a smartphone.
• Live in West Bloomfield, Waterford, Commerce, or the White Lake areas.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
