Job Description — AC Installer (Split AC, Troubleshooting)

Position: AC Installer / Technician — Split AC (Hi-wall/Cassette; non-VRF)
Department: HVAC
Employment Type: Full-time, 6 days/week

Compensation & Benefits

• QAR 2,500/month — with verified Oil & Gas experience
• QAR 2,200/month — with FM / Commercial / Residential experience

Role Summary

Install, commission, and troubleshoot Split AC systems across FM/commercial/high-rise/residential/tower environments, ensuring first-time-right quality, safety, and clean documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Commissioning (Split AC):
• IDU/ODU mounting (hi-wall, cassette), neat line-set & drain routing, proper insulation/supports
• Nitrogen pressure test, deep vacuum ≤500 microns, charge by weight; verify airflow/electrical loads/clearances
• Coordinate access/permits (PTW) with FM/Building Management; adhere to work windows
• Troubleshooting & Repair:
• Fault finding on compressors, PCBs, sensors, capacitors, fan motors, contactors
• Read wiring diagrams & error codes; measure voltage/current/continuity; check superheat/subcooling
• Leak detection (bubble/electronic), re-brazing, re-test, evacuate, recharge
• Preventive Maintenance: Coil/blower/drain cleaning, filter changes, terminal tightening, insulation checks, performance verification
• Documentation & HSE: Job cards/commissioning sheets, material returns; LOTO, working at height in towers, safe refrigerant handling, housekeeping

Requirements

• Education: ITI/Diploma in Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning (or equivalent)
• Experience: 3–6+ years hands-on Split AC install + fault finding in FM/commercial/residential/high-rise sites
• Technical Skills: Brazing/flaring/swaging; pipe sizing; manifold & micron gauges; vacuum/recovery; clamp meter; leak detector; single/three-phase basics; read wiring schematics
• Physical: Fit for ladders/scaffolds and outdoor work; can lift 25–30 kg with assistance
• Language: Basic English for safety/reporting; customer-facing etiquette
