AC Mechanic

Job Summary:

The AC Mechanic will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems. The role requires hands-on experience in handling various types of HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency in residential, commercial, or industrial setups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems, refrigeration units, and ventilation systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in AC systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Check and adjust refrigerant levels, compressors, thermostats, and controls.
• Replace faulty parts such as motors, belts, fans, filters, and coils.
• Ensure all HVAC systems operate efficiently and comply with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and repair reports.
• Respond promptly to breakdown calls and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with the electrical and maintenance team for coordinated repair work.
• Adhere to safety procedures and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.

Requirements:

• Diploma / ITI Certification in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience as an AC Mechanic in building maintenance, facility management, or HVAC service company.
• Strong knowledge of split, window, ducted, and package units.
• Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Skilled in diagnosing mechanical/electrical issues and performing repairs independently.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit to perform field and maintenance work.
