AC TECHNICIAN

• Install, test, and commission air-conditioning units in guest rooms, restaurants, kitchens, and other hotel facilities.
• Ensure proper placement and safe electrical connections.
• Perform routine maintenance of HVAC systems (cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, inspecting ducts, etc.).
• Carry out preventive maintenance schedules to avoid system breakdowns.
• Ensure all AC units are running efficiently to provide comfort to guests.
• Diagnose problems with air-conditioning systems and carry out necessary repairs.
• Replace faulty parts such as compressors, motors, thermostats, or fans.
• Respond promptly to guest or staff complaints about room temperature issues.
• Monitor and regulate energy consumption of air-conditioning systems.
• Suggest improvements or upgrades to improve energy efficiency.
• Follow hotel safety guidelines when handling electrical equipment and refrigerants.
• Ensure proper ventilation and safe disposal of refrigerants according to environmental standards.
• Respond quickly to guest complaints about room cooling or heating.
• Maintain professionalism and courtesy when entering guest rooms for service.
• Work closely with the Engineering/Maintenance Department.
• Keep records of maintenance and repairs.
• Report major breakdowns or replacement needs to the supervisor.
