Job Summary:

The AC Technician is responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems within the hotel. The role ensures guest comfort, safety, and satisfaction by keeping HVAC systems in excellent working condition while adhering to preventive maintenance schedules and energy conservation practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC equipment including chillers, FAHUs, FCUs, exhaust fans, VRF/VRV systems, split units, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Monitor and adjust building automation systems (BMS/GRMS) to ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and air quality.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC issues promptly to minimize downtime and guest inconvenience.
  • Replace and calibrate thermostats, filters, belts, motors, compressors, pumps, and controls as required.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance (PPM) for HVAC systems as per the hotel s standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and system performance.
  • Identify potential problems early and recommend corrective actions to avoid major breakdowns.
  • Ensure efficient operation of systems to minimize energy consumption while maintaining guest comfort.
  • Adhere to Fire & Life Safety (FLS) standards and all local authority regulations.
  • Safely handle refrigerants in compliance with environmental and safety guidelines.
  • Respond to emergency situations such as power failures, equipment breakdowns, or fire alarms.
  • Respond to guest room calls and complaints regarding air-conditioning and ventilation promptly and professionally.
  • Assist other departments (Housekeeping, F&B, Front Office) with maintenance-related support when required.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and contractors.
