AC Technician

Job Summary:

The AC Technician is responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and site environments. The role ensures efficient cooling system performance, preventive maintenance, and timely fault rectification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install split AC, window AC, and ducted AC systems
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance
• Ensure proper piping, insulation, and wiring connections
• Perform gas charging and leak testing
• Diagnose faults in AC systems (cooling issues, compressor failure, etc.)
• Repair or replace faulty components (compressors, capacitors, fans, PCB boards)
• Test electrical and mechanical components
• Ensure systems are operating efficiently after repair
• Handle refrigerants safely (R22, R410A, R32)
• Read and understand basic wiring diagrams
• Check pressure levels and system performance
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
• Follow all safety procedures at work sites
• Use PPE (helmet, gloves, safety shoes, goggles)
• Follow electrical safety guidelines
• Report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately
• Maintain service and maintenance records
• Report completed jobs to supervisor/engineer
• Fill service reports accurately
• Record material usage and spare parts
• Work with supervisors, engineers, and site teams
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly
• Support team during installation projects

Qualifications & Requirements:

• ITI / Diploma in Air Conditioning or Refrigeration
• 2–5 years of relevant experience (preferably GCC experience)
• Knowledge of HVAC tools and equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
• Basic communication skills
