Duties

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and mechanical systems across various property types.
• Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, plumbing diagrams, and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Conduct routine inspections of HVAC/R equipment using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose complex mechanical problems involving ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, or other specialized equipment, providing timely solutions.
• Execute field service tasks including appliance repair, equipment replacement, welding repairs, and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records, logs, and reports detailing work performed and parts used for accountability and future reference.
• Drive company vehicles safely to various job sites while adhering to all safety protocols and traffic laws.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a related construction or property maintenance role with a focus on HVAC/R systems.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler operation, plumbing, and general equipment repair.
• Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans accurately.
• Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and performing welding or other mechanical repairs.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers preferred.
• Knowledge of field service procedures including appliance repair, maintenance routines, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with welding techniques, boiler systems, and ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently in diverse environments.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces. Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
