Role Summary

We’re seeking a proactive and empathetic Academic Counselor Intern to support students in navigating their academic journey. This internship offers hands-on experience in student advising, academic planning, and career guidance, while working closely with experienced counselors and faculty.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in advising students on course selection, academic goals, and graduation requirements
• Support students in understanding institutional policies and procedures
• Help organize and facilitate workshops on study skills, time management, and career planning
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation
• Participate in one-on-one and group counseling sessions under supervision
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify students needing additional support
• Contribute to outreach initiatives such as orientation programs and academic events

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Empathetic, patient, and student-focused mindset
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Familiarity with academic systems or student databases is a plus
