Role Purpose
The Pedagogy Leader will serve as the academic and pedagogical guide of Global Discovery School, ensuring that teaching and learning practices reflect the school’s vision of holistic, child-centric education. The role focuses on strengthening classroom practices, empowering educators, and enhancing student learning outcomes across Pre-Primary and Primary divisions.
Key ResponsibilitiesPedagogical Leadership
- Lead and implement child-centric, experiential, and inquiry-based learning approaches across classrooms.
- Act as a role model in teaching excellence, demonstrating effective instructional strategies.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and reflective teaching practices.
- Curriculum Design & Implementation
- Oversee curriculum planning, lesson plans, assessments, worksheets, and enrichment programs.
- Ensure curriculum alignment with CBSE / early years frameworks while maintaining GDS’s educational philosophy.
- Integrate projects, field trips, outdoor learning, and activity-based learning into academic plans.
Teacher Mentoring & Development
- Mentor and coach educators to improve instructional quality, classroom engagement, and assessment methods.
- Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback and professional guidance.
- Design and facilitate teacher training sessions and academic workshops.
Student Learning & Assessment
- Support teachers in delivering individualized instruction to address diverse learning needs.
- Guide educators in observing, documenting, and tracking academic and developmental progress of students.
- Ensure student assessments are meaningful, age-appropriate, and learning-focused.
Parent Engagement
- Strengthen parent confidence through clear, empathetic, and insightful academic communication.
- Support Parent-Teacher interactions by helping educators share holistic insights about student learning.
- Collaborate with school leadership to maintain a positive school-parent partnership.
Academic Operations & Quality Assurance
- Ensure adherence to school academic policies, processes, and quality standards.
- Support smooth academic operations through effective planning, coordination, and execution.
- Contribute to maintaining a consistent academic culture across classrooms.

Qualifications
- B.Ed / M.Ed preferred
- For Pre-Primary exposure: NTT / ECCE certification is an advantage
- Degree in Education or a relevant subject with a teaching qualification
Experience
- 3–6 years of teaching experience in schools
- Prior experience as Academic Coordinator, Senior Educator, or Pedagogical Lead preferred
- Experience with Pre-Primary and/or Primary education desirable
