Account Clerk / Document controller

Job Summary

The Accounts Clerk / Document Controller is responsible for supporting daily accounting activities while ensuring proper management, control, and filing of company documents. The role requires accuracy, organization, and compliance with company policies and JAFZA regulations.

Key Responsibilities Accounts Clerk Duties

  • Maintain and update financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Prepare and issue invoices to clients and follow up on outstanding payments
  • Assist in bank reconciliations and petty cash management
  • Record daily financial transactions in accounting systems
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial records
  • Assist auditors by providing required documents and reports

Document Controller Duties

  • Manage and maintain all company documents in both electronic and hard copy formats
  • Ensure proper filing, tracking, and retrieval of documents
  • Control document flow within the organization and with external parties
  • Maintain document registers and logs (incoming/outgoing documents)
  • Ensure all documents are up-to-date, accurate, and properly approved
  • Coordinate with departments to collect and organize required documents
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information
  • Ensure compliance with JAFZA and company documentation requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounting and document control
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems)
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Good understanding of filing systems and document control procedures
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Good communication and organizational skills

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
