Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support management in strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to lead and mentor junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.

Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.

Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

Conduct internal audits and support external auditors during statutory audits.

Ensure compliance with taxation, GST, TDS, and other regulatory requirements.

Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Prepare management reports to support decision-making.

Supervise, train, and mentor junior accountants and finance staff.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial planning, cost control, and investment analysis.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA)

Proven experience as an Accountant, with at least 5–8 years in a senior or supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and financial regulations.

Proficiency in accounting software Tally

Advanced MS Excel Mandatory.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Salary Range: Rs. 35-40 K (depending on experience and qualifications)
