Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently. This role involves overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reports.
• Present financial results to senior management.

2. General Ledger Management:

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance and report variances.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve budget adherence.

4. Compliance and Audits:

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

5. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

• Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Manage cash flow and working capital requirements.

6. Tax Preparation:

• Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Liaise with external tax advisors and authorities as necessary.

7. Team Leadership:

• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Provide training and support to ensure the team’s professional development.
• Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
