Accountant

Our client is a leading company in the construction industry in Qatar , delivering large-scale projects with excellence and precision. They are now looking for an experienced Accountant to join their finance team and manage critical accounting operations related to construction projects.

💼 Job Description

As an Accountant (Construction) , you will be responsible for handling all aspects of financial accounting and reporting for construction projects. This role requires strong expertise in construction accounting principles, cost allocation, and ERP systems .

You will ensure compliance with accounting standards, manage accounts payable/receivable, oversee payroll processing, and support management with timely financial insights.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations for construction projects.
• Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition as per construction contracts.
• Handle accounts receivable and payable , including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
• Process payroll and ensure accurate labor cost allocation across projects.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Maintain compliance with Qatar tax laws and regulations .
• Monitor project costs and provide variance analysis to management.
• Ensure accurate records in the company’s ERP system .
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, and stakeholders as required.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Accountant in the construction industry in Qatar .
• Proficient in both English and Arabic .
• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles in construction projects.
• Experienced in handling accounts receivable and payable .
• Skilled in payroll accounting and labor cost allocation .
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills.
