Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant with at least 2 years of relevant experience in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the senior finance team in daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and assisting with compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a growing professional to develop their skills in a hands-on role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and account reconciliations in a timely manner.
• Process employee expense claims and petty cash transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll in coordination with HR.
• Maintain and update accounting journals, ledgers, and other financial records.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of UAE VAT returns.
• Help ensure compliance with company policies and UAE financial regulations.
• Support senior accountants and the finance manager with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of practical accounting experience, preferably within the UAE.
• Exposure to UAE VAT regulations and filing procedures is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, ERP) and strong MS Excel skills.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality work.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
• A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and the ability to work well within a team.
