Position Details
- Role: Accountant
- Work Location: Mount Road, near EA Mall, Chennai
- Job Type: Part-time (No Work from Home)
- Work Hours: 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM OR 2:30 PM – 7:00 PM
- Salary: ₹7,500 – ₹10,000 per month (Part-time)
- Experience: 1–2 years in accounting/finance (experience in interior design, retail, or related industries preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
- Prepare and monitor budgets for projects and overall company operations.
- Track project-wise expenses and revenues, ensuring proper allocation and reporting.
- Handle vendor payments, staff reimbursements, and client invoicing.
- Ensure timely collection of receivables and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate with banks, auditors, and tax consultants for compliance.
- Manage GST, TDS, and statutory filings relevant to the business.
- Prepare and file GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B returns monthly; coordinate with auditors for quarterly/yearly GST filings.
- Manage staff attendance, payroll, and HR-related accounts.
- Follow up on material orders and delivery schedules; maintain a vendor database with price comparisons.
- Maintain project-wise income and expense reports; handle warranty certificates and client handover documentation.
- Draft agreements, purchase orders, and delivery challans.
- Create and maintain Excel-based work schedules for internal coordination.
- Provide financial insights to management for pricing, cost control, and profitability.
- Implement and monitor internal financial controls.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, taxation, and compliance.
- Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Hands-on experience with drafting emails and using tools like ChatGPT for documentation.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and perform under deadlines.
