We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our finance team.

Job Description:
As a General Accountant at Millia Cosmetics, you will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records. You will be responsible for preparing journal entries, analyzing financial data, documenting transactions, and preparing reports for management review. Your insights will directly influence key decision-making and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Journal Entries: Prepare accurate and timely journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Financial Data Analysis: Analyze financial data for trends, anomalies, and discrepancies to support decision-making processes.
• Documentation of Transactions: Maintain comprehensive records of financial transactions to ensure transparency and audit readiness.
• Invoice Review & Approval: Review and approve invoices, ensuring they are in line with company policies and proper documentation is in place.
• Report Preparation: Prepare and present detailed financial reports for management review, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
• Fixed Asset Register & Depreciation: Maintain fixed asset registers, calculate depreciation, and ensure proper classification and reporting of assets.
• Prepaid Expenses & Accruals: Manage prepaid expenses, accruals, and related accounting adjustments.
• Inventory Costing: Implement and monitor inventory costing methodologies to ensure accurate valuation and reporting.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a general accounting role, preferably with a focus on both trading and industrial units.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with preparing journal entries, financial data analysis, and month-end closing procedures.
• Familiarity with maintaining fixed asset registers, calculating depreciation, and managing prepaid expenses.
• Proficiency in inventory costing methods and related accounting processes.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
