Accountant

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to support our finance team.

Position Summary:

The Accountant will handle day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have previous accounting experience in the construction or contracting sector in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
• Prepare journal entries, ledger postings, and trial balances.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and follow-ups.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor company cash flow.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support in preparing VAT filings and ensure compliance with UAE tax laws.
• Assist with audits, documentation, and financial data entry.
• Coordinate with project and procurement teams for cost allocation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction or contracting industry in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP/IFRS).
• Proficient in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.
• Solid understanding of UAE VAT and compliance requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
• Good communication skills (English; Arabic is a plus).
