We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant – Payables & Receivables to manage day-to-day financial transactions, including processing invoices, managing outgoing payments, and overseeing incoming receipts. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate ledgers, ensuring timely collections and payments, and supporting the month-end closing process.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of the business by ensuring proper tracking of receivables and payables.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Process supplier/vendor invoices accurately and on time.
- Match purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
- Schedule and execute vendor payments while ensuring timely clearance.
- Maintain vendor records and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Reconcile vendor statements and handle payment queries.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulations .
Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Generate and issue customer invoices based on contracts or sales orders.
- Monitor incoming payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Allocate receipts and reconcile customer accounts.
- Prepare and send regular statements to customers.
- Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams on billing and disputes.
General:
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing tasks.
- Support audits by providing required documentation.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Generate aging reports for both payables and receivables.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in accounts payable and receivable roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Strong Excel skills and knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
