Job Summary: Qatar Driving license is must
The Accountant will be responsible for managing all financial transactions related to the catering division, ensuring accuracy in cost reporting, invoicing, payroll, and budget control. The role requires strong analytical skills and experience in handling accounting operations specific to catering or food service environments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records for catering projects, events, and daily operations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Manage general ledger entries, accruals, and adjustments.
2. Cost Control & Analysis
- Monitor food cost, labor cost, and operational expenses to ensure profitability.
- Analyze variance between budgeted and actual costs and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare cost sheets for catering contracts and quotations.
3. Billing & Receivables
- Prepare client invoices based on catering events, meal counts, and contract terms.
- Coordinate with operations and sales teams to ensure timely billing and collections.
- Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
4. Payables & Payroll
- Verify supplier invoices, purchase orders, and delivery notes before processing payments.
- Manage petty cash, staff advances, and reimbursements.
- Coordinate with HR for timely and accurate payroll processing for catering staff.
5. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts for catering units.
- Support management with financial analysis for new projects or tenders.
6. Compliance & Audit
- Ensure all financial activities adhere to company and local regulatory requirements.
- Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in catering, hospitality, or food service industry.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or ERP systems).
- Excellent MS Excel and data analysis skills.
- Knowledge of VAT filing and financial compliance.
