Accountant

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage daily accounting operations, taxation, and compliance for our Private Limited company. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GST, TDS, and overall bookkeeping practices, with added preference for candidates having freight forwarding or logistics industry experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping:

• Maintain day-to-day accounts in Tally / Zoho Books / QuickBooks.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Manage vendor and client ledgers and ensure timely reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements.

2. Taxation & Compliance:

• File and manage GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual filings).
• Handle TDS deductions, payments, and return filings (Form 26Q, 24Q).
• Assist with ROC filings, audit coordination, and compliance for Pvt. Ltd. company.
• Ensure proper documentation for statutory audits and tax assessments.

3. Freight Forwarding / Logistics Accounting (Preferred):

• Handle job costing, shipment-level profit & loss, and vendor invoice reconciliation (CHA, transporters, shipping lines, etc.).
• Prepare client invoices with correct GST classification (export, domestic, zero-rated).
• Track freight receivables/payables and manage credit/debit notes.
• Liaise with operations and sales teams to ensure financial accuracy in freight transactions.

4. Reporting & Analysis:

• Prepare MIS reports for management (P&L, cash flow, receivables aging, etc.).
• Monitor outstanding payments and assist in collection follow-ups.
• Coordinate with auditors and management for financial planning and budgeting.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, accounting standards, and compliance.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP / Zoho Books / Excel / MS Office.
• Good understanding of freight forwarding accounts (preferred).
• Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple transactions.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.Com / M.Com / Inter CA preferred.
• 1-2 years of accounting experience (logistics/freight forwarding background preferred).
• Working knowledge of Tally ERP / GST portal / TDS portal.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
