Accountant

Petra Building Contracting LLC is a growing contracting company based in Dubai, specializing in retail fit-out and general construction projects across leading malls and commercial developments.

We are currently looking for an experienced Accountant with strong construction accounting and UAE VAT knowledge to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations: payables, receivables, and general ledger entries.
• Handle project costing, job cost tracking, and expense allocation per site.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Manage and file VAT returns in compliance with FTA requirements.
• Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and subcontractor payments.
• Support in budget preparation, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Liaise with auditors, management, and banks when required.
• Maintain proper accounting records and ensure compliance with UAE laws.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of UAE experience in Construction / Contracting companies.
• Sound knowledge of UAE VAT law and filing process.
• Proficient in Tally / QuickBooks / Zoho Books or similar ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple project accounts and work independently

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: AED2,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
