Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. The accountant will manage financial records, create financial reports, ensure compliance with accounting regulations, and maintain financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, invoices, receipts, and other related documentation.
• Prepare and record financial transactions such as purchases, sales, expenses, and other payments.

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable:

• Manage daily accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Process invoices, verify financial data, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Monitor and track customer payments and handle discrepancies.

3. Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Assist in preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and projections for the business.
• Track and monitor expenses to ensure budgetary control.

4. Inventory Accounting:

• Reconcile inventory accounts and ensure accuracy in inventory valuations.
• Assist with stock audits and ensure proper accounting of stock movements.

5. Bank Reconciliation:

• Reconcile bank statements with company accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Manage cash flow and liquidity, ensuring timely deposit of funds.

6. Tax Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with GST, VAT, or other applicable local tax regulations.
• Prepare and file accurate tax returns and handle tax payments within deadlines.

7. Financial Reporting:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Conduct variance analysis on financial performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.

8. Auditing & Compliance:

• Assist in internal and external audits by providing relevant financial information.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies (GAAP or IFRS).

9. Other Duties:

• Collaborate with other departments such as sales and procurement to improvefinancial operations.
• Handle any other accounting-related tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience (3-5 years) as an accountant, preferably in a retail or FMCG sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and inventory management.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with retail operations and POS systems.
• Knowledge of financial regulatory requirements in the retail sector.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
