1. Bookkeeping
- Recording daily financial transactions in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Ensuring accuracy in the general ledger by posting journal entries.
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Managing accounts payable (A/P): processing invoices, reconciling statements, ensuring timely payments.
- Managing accounts receivable (A/R): invoicing clients, tracking incoming payments, ensuring overdue accounts are followed up.
3. Bank Reconciliations
- Reconciliation of bank statements with the company's financial records to ensure consistency and accuracy.
4. Assist with Financial Reporting
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, or annual financial reports.
- Preparing trial balances and assisting with balance sheet and income statement preparation.
5. Expense Tracking
- Ensuring proper documentation of expenses and verifying that they align with budgeted figures.
- Tracking company credit card transactions and reconciling expense reports.
6. Payroll Support
- Assisting in processing payroll, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Updating records with employee hours, deductions, bonuses, and any changes to compensation.
7. Tax Filing Assistance
- Helping with the preparation of tax documents (e.g., VAT, sales tax, or income tax) and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Assisting with the gathering of necessary documentation for tax audits.
8. Financial Auditing Assistance
- Providing support during internal and external audits by organizing and preparing necessary financial documents.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
