Accountant

We, a prominent and growing manufacturing company based in Dubai, are seeking a dedicated, proactive and eager-to-learn Accountant with 3-5 years of experience.

As an Accountant within our manufacturing operation, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy of our financial records, optimizing cost controls, and providing financial insights that directly impact our production efficiency and profitability. You'll work closely with production, procurement and sales to ensure seamless financial operations.

You will have the following responsibilities:

1. General Accounting Operations: Manage daily accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

2. Cost Accounting: Assist in the tracking and analysis of manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead. Support the calculation of production costs and variances.

3. Inventory Management: Reconcile inventory records (raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods) with physical counts, assisting with valuation and ensuring accuracy.

4. Fixed Assets: Maintain the fixed asset register, process depreciation, and support capital expenditure tracking relevant to machinery and equipment.

5. Financial Reporting: Prepare and assist in the timely generation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

6. UAE Tax Compliance: Ensure meticulous compliance with UAE Value Added Tax (VAT) regulations and the recently implemented Corporate Tax Law. Assist in preparing and filing all necessary tax returns.

7. Budgeting Support: Contribute to the preparation of operational budgets and forecasts, particularly related to production costs and inventory.

8. Audit Assistance: Support external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
