Accountant

Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, overseeing month-end processes, managing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with VAT regulations in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain complete and accurate bookkeeping records
• Reconcile Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) with purchase orders and supplier invoices
• Prepare and process Telegraphic Transfers (TT) and Letters of Credit (LC)
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities
• Prepare monthly accruals, provisions, and journal entries
• Monitor and manage daily cash flow and bank balances
• Perform bank reconciliations and supplier reconciliations
• Monitor and record inventory transactions and stock adjustments
• Handle petty cash management and reconciliation
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with UAE VAT regulations
• Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation
• Liaise with operations, procurement, and administration teams to ensure smooth financial coordination
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5 years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of VAT filing and compliance
• Experience in handling LC documentation and bank transactions
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in trading or contracting companies
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA – partially qualified or pursuing) is an advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
