Accountant

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our financial team, bringing energy and precision to our accounting operations. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting the organization’s financial health. Your expertise will drive accurate reporting, streamline processes, and contribute to strategic decision-making. Duties

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements
  • Conduct account reconciliation, including bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining detailed records.
  • Perform journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and accrual accounting to accurately reflect financial transactions.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, interpret financial data for management review, and facilitate regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Assist with tax preparation and ensure adherence to tax laws including LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), securities law, and other relevant regulations.
  • You will be working with multiple business within our company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in corporate accounting, governmental accounting or non-profit accounting environments.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and technical accounting standards.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
  • Excellent understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, ledger management and account analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial report writing, data analysis and forecasting tasks.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial reports and perform cash flow analysis effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Pay: $58,870.57 - $70,897.88 per year
