Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our growing fintech organization. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing financial records, reporting, budgeting, and supporting financial decision-making while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Working Days: 5 Days/week

Working Schedule: UK Banking Hours

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and books of accounts
• Manage and oversee the bookkeeping function to ensure up-to-date records
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Develop and monitor budgets and financial forecasts
• Conduct financial analysis and prepare monthly management reports
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures
• Support implementation and improvement of financial systems and processes
• Lead and supervise junior accounting staff
• Train and develop team members to enhance performance
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders for financial data and reporting

Qualifications & Experience

• CA Inter / ACCA (Articleship completed)
• Minimum 2+ years of post-articleship experience
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and practices
• Experience in financial reporting and budgeting

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prepare financial reports and analysis independently
• Proven team management and leadership experience
• Excellent command of English (written & verbal)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Preferred Experience (Plus Points)

• Experience in fintech, especially remittance companies
• Exposure to UK-based companies or international reporting
• Experience working in a multi-currency environment
• Involvement in setting up or improving accounting/financial systems and structures
