Job Title: Remote Accountant (Pakistan-Based | Hourly, Time-Tracked)

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join our team remotely. This role is strictly performance-based, with compensation tied directly to hours tracked through company-approved time tracking software. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, discipline in time reporting, and the ability to work independently with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare journal entries and adjustments
• Assist with month-end and year-end close
• Generate financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Maintain organized financial documentation
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy across systems
• Track all work hours using designated time-tracking software

Requirements

• 2–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (preferred) or similar software
• Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP knowledge is a plus)
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong work ethic and accountability in a remote environment
• Ability to meet deadlines without supervision
• Reliable internet connection and consistent availability

Compensation Structure

• Hourly compensation based strictly on tracked time
• All work must be logged through company-approved time tracking software
• Only verified and approved hours will be compensated

Expectations

• Maintain transparency and accuracy in time tracking
• Deliver consistent, high-quality work within agreed timelines
• Communicate proactively regarding tasks and progress
• Adhere to company processes and reporting standards

Nice to Have

• Experience with eCommerce accounting (Shopify, Stripe, PayPal)
• Experience with ERP systems (Odoo, NetSuite, etc.)
• Prior experience working with international clients
