We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our growing general trading company in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using Odoo, with a strong focus on accounting modules, and be comfortable managing day-to-day financial operations within the system.

This role is highly system-driven and requires confidence in handling accounting processes directly in Odoo, including invoicing, purchase orders, ledger management, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounting & Financial Management:

Maintain accurate financial records, manage the general ledger, and ensure compliance with standard accounting principles.

• Odoo Accounting (Core Responsibility):
• Manage accounts payable and receivable within Odoo
• Record journal entries and oversee chart of accounts
• Generate financial statements and accounting reports
• Ensure accurate data flow across accounting modules
• Invoicing & Purchase Orders:

Create, review, and process sales invoices and purchase orders within Odoo.

• Operational Support in Odoo:

Assist with product setup, basic inventory-related entries, and internal transfers as required for accounting accuracy.

• Bank Reconciliation & Payments:

Perform bank reconciliations, track payments, and initiate transfers in coordination with management.

• Reporting & Analysis:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support management decision-making.

• Compliance & VAT:

Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, prepare VAT reports, and support audits when required.

• Process Improvement:

Support the optimization of accounting workflows and internal controls within Odoo.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong, hands-on experience with Odoo Accounting (mandatory).
• 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a general trading company.
• Solid understanding of general ledger, AP/AR, VAT, and financial reporting.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort with accounting-related productivity tools.
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,750.00 per month
