Accountant

Job Title: General Accountant (Female Preferred)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented General Accountant with prior experience in the construction industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

The successful candidate should possess strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with construction accounting procedures, and proficiency in accounting software such as Sage and Zoho Books.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and budgets
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of payments and collections
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations accurately and on time
• Monitor daily accounting operations and financial transactions
• Assist in project costing, budgeting, and preparation of project cost estimates
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger accounts
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal company procedures
• Coordinate with management regarding financial planning and reporting
• Support external audits and prepare required documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience using Zoho Books
• Experience with accounting software such as Sage is mandatory
• Previous construction accounting experience is preferred
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting and cost control practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Umm al-Quwain City: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Accounting: 2 years (Preferred)
