Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction, joinery, fit-out, or contracting industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, financial reporting, supplier payments, job costing, and supporting overall financial control within the business.
Key Responsibilities:

Handle day-to-day accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash, and bank reconciliations.

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.

Process supplier invoices, subcontractor payments, and client billing.

Monitor project-related expenses and assist in job costing and budget tracking.

Prepare monthly financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

Coordinate with procurement, project, and operations teams regarding project costs and payment status.

Ensure timely collection follow-up and maintain receivables records.

Assist in VAT preparation, filing, and compliance.

Support external audits and provide required financial documentation.

Maintain proper filing systems for invoices, LPOs, contracts, and financial records.

Assist management with cash flow monitoring and expense analysis.

Ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting procedures.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum 2 years of accounting experience within construction, joinery, fit-out, or contracting companies.

Strong understanding of project accounting and cost tracking.

Knowledge of VAT regulations and financial compliance requirements.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
